Did you hear about the sad sacks in the UK? Apparently their lottery allows you to purchase tickets via an app using money you load on monthly basis from your credit card. Some pensioner couple played the same numbers regularly and finally turned up a winner for something like $50M...but their account was low on cash and didn’t automatically replenish until the next day to pay for the ticket in full. The bean counters wouldn’t give it to them.
