Again, “go home and get in line” is the very thing that we all denounced as amnesty (or, in NR’s phrase, “not just amnesty but amnesty laundering”) when it was included in the godawful Bush amnesty bill of 2007, which we fortunately defeated.
Now, all of a sudden, Trump proposes essentially the same thing and suddenly it’s good policy that we’re supposed to support.
Sorry, not buying. It’s still the same bad provision that it was in 2007.
You don’t “give them a path”, you enforce the law.
