I think Trump is an attractive candidate for many conservatives because he has shaken up the status quo and taken it to the GOPe, and for that I’m thankful as well. And, I will vote for him should he win the nomination. He just hasn’t earned my trust yet.

That's more than reasonable. For some, Trump conveys trust and confidence, others take a more skeptical view. This is why the opinions of solid conservatives (Schafly, Goode, Palin, etc., among others) should be weighed in the contemplative process. They have seen the real deal (Reagan) and their instincts are pretty good I think. But we never truly know until the candidate is actually elected and sworn in.

Look how Mr. "Compassionate Conservative" George W. Bush turned out?

You just never know.
