Well dear heart let us see what he recommended in his policy paper released this year.

You cannot point to one specific policy he has backed or said yes too. Assault weapons is no meaningful and you and I and trump know it.

I don’t care who you vote for in the primary. I plan on voting for Cruz. If you sit out the general because it is trump then you are really a Bush republican and I say s pix on your house

“You cannot point to one specific policy he has backed ...”

Did you not read all of the direct quotes and positions from Trump in post #76. Those were mostly recent, within 2-3 years, and some as recent as 2015/2016.

“Assault weapons is no meaningful”

How do figure that Trump’s support of an “assault” weapons ban is not meaningful, especially after Trump funded McAuliff last year, a known gun-grabber, and funded several anti-gun groups within the past 2 years. That is pretty meaningful to me!

So you say Trump changed his position on at least 3-4 different liberal positions, that I provided you the PROOF for, and he changed his positions since running for office and you don’t have concerns about that? Can you guarantee that Trump won’t change his mind again and go back to supporting his traditional liberal positions? No you can’t and neither can anybody else make that promise.

We’ve been lied to by politicians for so long, many of which said one thing to get into office and then did a total different thing. Trump has a track record of flip-flopping on EVERY issue in recent years and nobody can PROVE Trump will be any different given his constantly changing stances on important policies. That is worrisome.

“then you are really a Bush republican”

That does NOT make me a Bush republican. It actually makes me think about the long game instead of the short victory. Some Republicans are all to willing to win at any cost even if it means going against their principles or electing somebody counter to those principles. I won’t do it.

In reality, if Hillary wins, she will be so left wing that it will finish destroying the democrat party and cause a uproar in the country. I doubt she’ll then win a second term. However, if Trump wins and rules from his traditional left leaning policies and betrays the his gullible followers, then that will destroy the republican party permanently and will prevent a true conservative from taking office for decades to come. It may even cause us to lose Congress. All it will take is for Trump to appoint Oprah or some leftist judge to SCOTUS. In both cases, their policies will reek havoc on the country. The difference between you and me is that you are putting your faith in Trump, a man that has a checkered liberal past, and I’m not. I prefer to take a person based on his actions, which does not go well for Trump, rather than trust what he says now. Obama is a good example of that. We knew based on Obama’s past how he would govern. Many people just chose to ignore the facts and instead have faith in his rhetoric. I’m not that gullible or naïve.
