I believe that his "religious values" trump his CIC values. I've yet to ever meet an OTT Christian zealot who would actually have the balls to go total war on an enemy. They are so often predisposition to turn the other cheek, or else offer a timid response to an enemy attack.

This is a bogus accusation. A Christian is to "turn the other cheek" when it comes to personal vengeance, but at the same time the New Testament upholds the God-given authority of the government to use deadly force in a just cause.
