I was just thinking the same thing, to switch back to Independent, when a different thought came to me.

Maybe we should stay because they WANT us to leave. Maybe we can be a pain in the neck for them by remaining able to vote in local primary elections, where there might be a candidate here and there who is an honest patriot who loves their country.

I don't know - 'permanent solution' sounds a lot like 'final solution'. I would recommend that the illegals get out of here while they can.
