That’s cute, but he’s the only person running for president who has a record of doing just that (adhering to the principles of the constitution). If your premise is correct, then anytime Obama mentions the word constitution people would swoon, right?
If you think for a minute that any president can single-handedly dismantle the federal government leviathan, you’re deluding yourself. I would love to hear Cruz and Trump discuss the extra-constitutional nature of almost everything the federal government is doing, but I doubt that Trump’s knowledge of the constitution is anymore extensive than his knowledge of international affairs.
There's definitely some cognitive dissonance going on when he simultaneously advocates federal "single payer" health care and the jurisprudence of Clarence Thomas.
