“No kidding. One of the most disheartening things about the Trump candidacy has been to watch Trump supporters denounce long time conservatives after they warned that Trump is not one of us. Regardless of who the person was they’ve been savaged for not being faithful to the new faith of conservatism as preached by the TV reality star turned populist “conservative.” Many of those denounced have been conservatives going back before Ronald Reagan was President.”

The people who support Trump are realists and educated ones at that. You have not seen the Conservative alive to campaign today that will make abortion illegal, repeal LGBT rights, reverse gay marriage, or any of the things that Conservatives say they “stand for.” Those things aren’t going to be addressed with any effectiveness until Our Lord returns. So what, may I ask, is it that you expect your “Conservative” candidate to do for us if he’s elected?

America is in trouble right now and we need a leader who can address some of the problems right now. Trump is that man. If this was the America of fifty years ago, we would have all the time in the world for Conservatives, Moderates and Liberals to sit in the Halls of Congress and thrash out solutions and argue the pros and cons. We simply don’t have that time anymore as a nation.

Sometimes I think a lot of Conservatives have hopelessly entertwined their politics with their religion. Only Our Lord Jesus Christ can heal the soul of Americans from the things we’ve allowed to come upon us in a moral sense. No politician ever will. Meanwhile, Donald Trump has the know how to remedy our failing manufacturing industry, address the problems of our open borders and our image in the world at large. I don’t ask my doctor, my dentist, or my optometrist if they’re Christians or if they’re Conservatives before I let them perform their service for me. I only care to know if they are qualified to do their jobs to my satisfaction. I’ve always chosen my elected officials the same way. Right now, my way of life is in danger, not my faith. I think Donald Trump can salvage America and that’s why I support him. It’s my country that’s in danger, not my soul.

Oh, hey, I get it. And you wouldn’t care if the only proof you had that your dentist or doctor was able to do that job was his word. Donald, with all the modesty of a professional wrestler (another arena where he performed as a goofball, by the way), tells you he is the man to be president. He’s never held an elected office, not once. Never. Yet he can be taken at his word. Note that he’s written a book discussing how important hyperbole is, and he’s demonstrated great success with his bragging and balderdash. But his experiences as a crony capitalist and his vast inherited wealth make him an ideal choice to fix what’s wrong with America, he says. Well some people must be entwining religion with politics since they are dealing in blind faith when it comes to accepting Trump for president based only on his own Testimonial to his capabilities. Maybe he could start below president to fix all that is wrong with the USA.
