I went into my car insurance office last week and in the course of conversation learned the agent was born in Germany (now a U.S. citizen) so I asked him what he thought of the events there. He looked at me as though I had two heads. He explained to me Europe has always had challenges with immigrants, just like America. I asked what about the crime, rapes etc. He told me it will get better soon and Merkel is fine.
I stopped the chat, finished my business and walked out -just in shock. One cannot even exchange thoughts with them.

One German woman here who I know is the opposite and said she will not move back to Germany now and wants to become a citizen here.
