Trump is doing nothing more than vocalizing sentiments found here and most anywhere Constitution loving people have gathered. In fact, his rhetoric could have been read line for line from a lot of posts here on FR. A great triumph for a populist firebrand. A lot of dull witted thugs have achieved a great deal in history simply appealing to pent up emotion.
His ardent followers, in many cases, are letting their emotions whip them into less than intelligent actions. Screaming people surrounding one lone, silent woman (no matter how you or I might disagree with her) does not advertise intelligence to me, or anyone watching or reading the tailored clips the MSM will make of that.
Cruz, on the other hand, is intelligent. In time I expect he’ll do much better than simple blowhardism.
If Cruz were relevant enough to draw an islamist woman to his campaign event and she stood in silent protest, and his supporters do what you recommend Trump’s supporters do — which is sit there meekly and silently — we would deride both his supporters and Cruz to be weaklings.
Stick with your intelligent guy.
The rest of us are going to stick with the winner.
I guess Nathan Hale was a “blowhard” too. You are swimming against the tide my friend. I have no problem with Trump and his supporters. I also feel the same about Ted Cruz. Both bring hope to a country in trouble.
