Now to get a copy of his FS-240, Consular Record of Birth Abroad / CRBA. That, on it's own, is sufficient to find US citizenship at birth. Mom's birth certificate is a support document for obtaining a CRBA.

You'll never see the FS-240. The shouts of the Cruz supporters saying "See? See?" right now will accomplish the same thing now as the same shouts from democrats did when Obama produced proof of his Hawaiin birth.

Very correct. His mother’s birth certificate only indicates that his mother is a US citizen. The FS-240 is the real document needed to close the argument.

I read that his mother registered his birth at the US consulate in Canada. And that he needed a US passport in High School to travel on a class trip to England. What was not made clear is if the registration was when he was a tyke or a teen. As he is a statutory citizen it makes no difference in his citizenship here. I think this whole releasing his moms birth certificate is silly as no one questioned if he was a statutory citizen by virtue of her being a US citizen.
