Not surprising. Osama Bin Ladin married off his 16 year old son to a 14 year old girl ( daughter of an Al Qaeda leader ).
This is simply following the footsteps of their prophet who according to the Hadith, married a girl named Aisha when she was age 6 and consumated the marriage 3 years later.
Since Mohammad was the “most perfect of men”, it goes without saying that his example has to be followed...
