You are t going to attract any women wearing Duck Boots, FRiend - ain’t gonna happen - although neither is a guy wearing shiny Cuban boots with Haggar slacks and his moms blue sweater

I’ve got Ariats, but also some Lucchese boots, handmade in Texas. There are a number of others. But your point is right, they aren’t ubiquitous. You have to look for them and they are really expensive, which is sad.

Looks like he’s seeking the metrosexual vote, but there are more important things at stake in this election cycle.

Everyone needs to get focused here. The number ONE issue for presidential elections is that the winner picks federal judges and appoints flag-rank military officers. Pick the candidate who will choose constitutionally faithful judges and officers.

Ah ha. Then he’s signaling to his homies, he’s “their Cuban,” not Ted.

Well I’m married to my high school sweetheart, so I’m not looking to attract anyone. That aside, read what I was replying to. I wasn’t suggesting them at all, just saying they are practical for rain and snow and at least they are manly. I actually suggested Allen Edmonds or black cowboy boots.

But by the way, certain women love those duck boots right now. They are a huge fashion deal. LL Bean is months behind and can’t make enough. If you ordered a pair today it would be months before they could ship them to you. It’s been that way for several years.

Why L.L. Bean’s Boots Keep Selling Out
It has to do with the dictates of the fashion world just as much as it has to do with labor economics.

Concerning US politics- Who cares? This is petty stuff.

Personally- Ya Momma dresses you funny, cheesedick. He always comes off as a falsely cocky used car salesman IMO.
Nossir, don't like'im.

Next time I’m in Temple I’m going to this custom bootmaker outside Austin - for the same price as top of the line major brand - he can make me a set. Ariats aren’t the most best boots but their sizing just really works for me. An 11 D is perfect but only an Ariat - my Justins are sloppy in 11 D

We’ve had the same experience.I bought Justin boots two years ago and didn’t like how they fit at all so I gave them away. After that I bought Ariats and they fit well, albeit in 12D.

Regarding Sorels it was January 1970 at Pine Point NWT for me. I was doing exploration geophysics(IP ground) as a contractor’s employee for then Cominco’s open-pit lead/zinc mine. We spent all day tramping on snow or with our feet on cold metal. For the next decade, I lived in those d*mned snowpaks for half the year.

I’m wearing a pair now, actually. They are comfy. ;^)

This is almost as bad as Jeb standing on his tippie toes next to Trump - trying to appear taller. That first debate had it’s moments...

I heard that Sorel went through bankruptcy a few years ago but is now back in business with a new owner.
After I got my first pair, a half dozen guys at the mine showed up in Sorels...
