Marco Rubio has made the critical political mistake of not dressing like a complete schlub. Everyone, it seems, is talking about his kinky boots.

The Florida senator and Republican presidential candidate came close to pulling off an acceptably frumpy look as he boarded his campaign bus in New Hampshire on Monday: mildly unkempt hair; creased black dress pants before noon; a lumpy blue sweater. But Rubio’s decision to don what Vanity Fair delicately dubbed “statement footwear” has turned his three-inch heels into a ball and chain.

Nope, no way are they 3". I'm thinking 1-1/2" to 1-3/4". I look for anything under 3" as I have a bad back and these would definitely work for me but then I'm a girl.

He'd best look for cowboy styled or hunter-jumpers, not Brit pop, plus at 44, he's a bit too old for that style anyway!

Actually, back in the 70s they were called “Dingo boots”, which referred to the brand (Dingo), as well as the style.

I have a pair of Sorel boots, bought back in ‘80 when I was manager of an open pit coal mine. My old steel toe leather boots nearly froze my feet off until a friend mentioned Sorels.
They are quite possibly the ugliest, rubber/leather/felt lined boots in the free world, but man, do they keep my feet toasty !
