Courts unlikely to entertain, let alone sustain, challenge to Cruz's qualification to be president

WASHINGTON - It seems like only yesterday that skeptics of Barack Obama's birth in Hawaii rushed to the Supreme Court to try to block the son of an American mother and Kenyan father from taking office as president. The justices turned away those challenges as fast as they arrived at the courthouse door, much as lower courts did.

Seven years later, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is dealing with pointed remarks from rival Donald Trump that Cruz's birth in Canada to an American mother and Cuban father raises doubt about his eligibility to be president and could dog his campaign for the White House. Trump had also famously questioned whether Obama was really born in Hawaii....

But the ILLEGAL ALIEN IN CHIEF wasn't even a United States Citizen.

This whole Cruz birther talk is, as Levin said, totally unnecessary and a side show deflection from the 20 other issues facing this nation.

How about the recent attack on the 2nd Amendment?, ISIS, the newly discovered Isis Technical College in Raqqah where they learn how to make bombs and SAMS, no border fence, the Immigration mess, the 'Syrian refugees,' the IRS scandals, Benghazi, Hillary's scandals, the server issue and associated treason, Bill's Bimbogates, the 'Clinton Foundation' money laundering schemes, Hillary and Huma, the various past Clinton Scandals that the MSM has totally ignored, the whole ME mess, NK nukes, the brainwashing of our youth with the sick culture and Marxist madness, Common Core in our schools, what other community agitation does Marxist Obama have planned for 2016?, what are the plans after the next Muslim attack?, what is being done to stop the Muslim invasion?, is Obamacare really going to be repealed?, Obama gearing up for record pardon releases, What about the gutting of our military, what are we doing in Afghanistan?, who gave the Stand Down Benghazi order?, the 'everything is racist' crap, the constant Alinsky tactics, the orchestrated crisis crap, 4000 new Federal regulations, the expanding centralized government, the loss of privacy, loss of our freedoms, the attack on religion, the anti-capitalist, anti-small business attitude and behavior, the anti-family attacks, abortion, selling baby parts. . . So let's quickly drop this Cruz birther stuff. He is eligible. Period. We have a Presidency to win. We can't waste another day on this. Fight on!

I have avoided talking about the issue, but the Cruz fanatics just keep bringing it up.

#20 does, indeed, give a fair explanation of what “Natural born citizen” meant at the time it entered the constitution, in the days of the Founding Fathers, and for the next 150 years or so.

Now, of course, the academic lawyers claim we have a “living constitution” that can be changed to agree with our current assumptions. No, the Constitution is a legal document that doesn’t change just because some liberal wants it to, but doesn’t have the votes to change it.

A “majority” of academic lawyers say that Cruz is qualified? It’s a safe bet that 99% of them are liberals, even if Cruz claims to be a conservative. I won’t get into the issue of what Cruz really stands for, as opposed to what he says. But he is NOT a natural born citizen. And just because Obama cheated and lied is no reason that we should do the same. That’s for guys like Mitch the Bitch and Boner to do.

No, I’m not about to join in suing Cruz. But the Democrats certainly will, if they can manage to get him nominated first, which they same to be working on pretty hard.
