The Trump Organization warns United Kingdom that banning Donald Trump would be a mistake
8:14 a.m. ET
Donald Trump is making good on his promise to "counterpunch" anyone who crosses him â even if it means taking on the entire United Kingdom. Following a scheduled debate in the British Parliament to discuss if Trump's presence in the U.K. would be "non-conducive to the public good," the Trump Organization has warned that if actions follow, they would have consequences, Fox News reports.
The United Kingdom's proposed Donald Trump ban arose after Trump's widely criticized call for a Muslim ban in the United States. British Prime Minister David Cameron has deemed Trump's proposal "divisive, unhelpful, and quite simply wrong." A petition circulating in the U.K. has earned more than 560,000 signatures calling for Trump to be turned away from Britain's borders.
However, according to the Trump Organization, a ban would "alienate the many millions of United States citizens who wholeheartedly support Mr. Trump and have made him the forerunner by far in the 2016 presidential election." Further, the Trump Organization warned that were the U.K. to take any action against its namesake, it would "force The Trump Organization to immediately end [investments in Turnberry] and all future investments we are currently contemplating in the United Kingdom." WHAT United Kingdom ?
England’s decline began under the socialist government at the end of WWII. It has become more rapid now as the Muslims are taking over the nation which is now almost as pitiful as America. There was a decline in the evils of socialism during the term of Margaret Thatcher. There will never be another like her.
We can count America’s allies on one finger now, thanks in a large part to the parasite currently occupying the White Hut.
Go Donald, but close the damned border and begin the extradition of all Muslims and invaders.
So nice to have someone on our side issuing the “warnings” for a change.
They better think this through. For example, they need to consider what if he becomes US president. He would then be seen like second George Washington.
Wow.
Trump means business.
Given this development, he will need to send a message to Cameron and Parliament that if he is elected there will be further consequence. The will of the people comes before UK/US relations.
They will allow Islamo-Nazis to infect their country to kill and behead vets in the street......
They will allow Islamo Nazis to threaten the populace.....
They will allow Islamo-Nazis to use the UK as an ISIS recruitment center....
But the one guy who says "Hey a wait a minute, maybe we should hold off on importing Islamo Nazis into the country" is evil? Is racist? Is Hitler?
The UK is GONE. Sane people do not run that country
Familiarity breeds contempt and fear keeps the barbarians at bay the Romans used to say. American citizenship used to mean something.
Although it probably won’t occur...I’m of the belief if they were that ‘stupid’...a President Trump would note that if he wasn’t welcomed....neither were US troops in the UK, and he’d remove them in a rapid fashion, and let the UK know the score. Some French would applaud.....as would some Germans.
The comedy of this would be that Lady GaGa gets a free-ticket to enter the UK, and Trump would be forbidden. Something about that logic...would be a great comedy for the Monty Python crew to do a skit explaining this to a normal Brit at a pub via a government official.
Don’t cross Trump. Look what happened to the Miss Universe contest.
If elected, Trump will make Britain suffer.
You know these people are completely uncoupled from reality when they actually publicly consider banning the likely next President of the United States from entering the UK.
No wonder their country is dying of muslimcide.
I am using that from now on. That is exactly what is happening.
We really need to reassess all our defense treaties to make sure our "partners" aren't shirking their native responsibilities to rely instead on the US taxpayer.
OUTSTANDING posts BUMP!
It is so very interesting to have a presidential candidate who can enact significant economic ‘sanctions’ via his own personal business to those like the UK who are toying with the idea of being “politically correct”.
On the issue of banning Muslims from entry temporarily into the United States, Trump has been correct both as to substance and presentation. The United States Constitution with its first, fifth and fourteenth amendments leaves us vulnerable to a fifth column of religious fanatics who will not shrink from murder to gain secular political power and who will, history documents, proselytize by the sword. In other words, once Muslims gain entry into the United States they claim all of the rights of citizens and residents and our Constitution hobbles us from protecting ourselves, our culture and our children. It is constitutional to prohibit them entry but it is not constitutional to discriminate against them once they gain entry purely on the basis of their faith. If the Constitution is not a suicide pact, it is certainly an instrument that leaves us in mortal peril to an internal Islamic threat once Muslim numbers attain critical mass.
So Donald Trump has got this one right and, confining his prescription to a temporary measure, he also got the wording right.
The Britts are playing politics, they know better, the people of the United States whether Trump supporter or not, whether Democrat or Republican, whether for open borders or a cooling-off period simply cannot tolerate this sort of interference in our domestic politics. The precedent is simply intolerable.
On this issue, Trump has my support as he will have in the general election if, God help us, he gets that far.
I don’t think they’ll ban him. They’ll call him a bigot, anti-Muslim, anti-immigrant, hate-filled and all the rest but at the end of the day the vote won’t pass.
I figure in today's Twitter world this kind of language is needed to cut through the BS. But having spend 2 decades reading Civil War primary sources like letters and speeches and such it does jar me a little how far we have fallen as a nation in terms of oratory skills. The last great example was JFK. I don't think I can recall any memorable sentences said after that by a president.
Reagan counts but they were more workaday uses of language like "Tear down this wall". Reagan, as a media expert knew that he had to keep it simple and elegant. I am going off on a tangent - I tend to do that - I apologize.
Of those 560,000 petition signatories about 100% of them are Jihadi’s...
