Well, ya gotcher big flood which showed how deceived people were before such flood. Then ya gotcher Tower of Babel, Then ya gotcher Sodom and Gomorrah. Then there is the whole failed time of the Law as taught to us by Israel. The key verse that always reminds me of two grumpy old men complaining is:
Eccl 7:10 Do not say, “Why were the former days better than these?†For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.
Well, I was talking about “modern times.”
And I take Eccl. 7:10 to say there’s no wisdom in asking the question. It doesn’t say the premise is wrong. ;)
