If my "security" people are killed by terrorists after I forced them to disarm, am I responsible for their deaths?

Well, considering that govt can thumb its nose at the Constitution, suppress our Rights, all w/out repercussions (see S.B. in CA for the latest outcome), let alone a worry about liability....
Nobody dares noodle the response time of voluntarily armed Citizens vs. police/SWAT in an active shooter situation.
