Salena is right and if Tony Snow was with us he would again stand up for her. FR has often bordered on reenacting the French revolution....

I can't stand Trump but she's wrong. The party leadership has spent the last decade looking down their noses at the unwashed angry about immigration, ignoring them, and "wink-wink, nudge-nudging" with Democrats that they'd keep us under control.

They not only stopped listening, but stopped effectively communicating to us as well. Now, they blame Trump supporters for not understanding things they did a really crappy job of explaining. And they seemed to value comity within Congress over fighting battles of principle. Even if you lose, there is value in fighting. But in most cases, McConnell and Boehner decided that if they couldn't get a law passed and signed, why bother? Fools.

Now, those same elites are compounding their tone-deafness by attacking Trump harshly, and by extension, the 30-35% who support him. That's a real genius move. Let's insult a large voting block that is essential to winning the election.
