The Trump/Jackson comparison has some truth to it, which is exactly why I can't vote for Trump despite being angry at how moderates have emasculated the party of Reagan. And it has nothing to do with supporters not dressing in finery. Rather, I think he probably shares Jackson's lack of respect for the Constitution. He's the proverbial Man on Horseback, and given his history, I have zero confidence he'll end up leading in the direction of a more limited federal government.
I find it incredibly depressing that in such a critical election season, and with such a vulnerable opponent, we couldn't put forth a single candidate fit to tie Reagan's shoes.
