“If you want to claim the Republicans need to “do something to stop this” and you can’t describe what “something” will stop this, then you’re just looking for an excuse to blame Republicans.”

We should BE BLAMING REPUBLICANS for all of it! The reason they can’t “do something to stop this,” is that there aren’t enough of them to overrride a veto. And just why aren’t there enough of them? Answer: because the voters decided a decade ago that the GOPe wasn’t worth a $hit so they didn’t elect enough of them to be able to “do anything about anything!” The voters have neutered the GOPe because they know that they’re as big a fraud as the RATs! So Yes, we should be blaming them. I know I do.

Fifty-four republican senators are about the upper limit. Voting more conservative won’t produce more republican senators since about 45% of the population will vote for yellow dog as long as it runs on the Democrat ticket.
