That's the ONLY reason I give him the time of day.
I don't care if you give Cruz the time of day or not.
My point is that Cruz wasn't giving a lawyerly answer. Cruz was giving a constitutional answer.
He only describes what he as president would have the constitutional power to accomplish.
Cruz:
He will press Congress to eliminate the departments.
He will appoint head of agencies to wind down the departments.
There is no uncertainly from Cruz about what he as president is constitutionally able to do and WILL do.
And my point is that he's a lawyer, and can give you twenty different definitions of "constitution" between bites of a sandwich at lunch. That's just a fact.
