Sometimes I think corporal punishment would do better for our society than jailing offenders.

But whipping, public or private, is not ever making a comeback in US law.

Agree totally. We’d have a lot less crime and incarceration, costing billions of taxes dollars spent on housing, feeding, guarding, educating, medical, etc. of those incarcerated.
