(Reuters) - A Texas teen, who was a fugitive after allegedly breaking his probation sentence for killing four people while driving drunk, has been arrested in Puerto Vallarta in Mexico, CNN reported on Monday, citing officials briefed on the matter.
Ethan Couch, 18, was sentenced to probation about two years ago in juvenile court for intoxication manslaughter and is wanted in Tarrant County, Texas. He and his mother went missing earlier this month.
No kidding — I bet some Wheel of Fortune winners bumped into him at Puerto Vallarta
Oh he will be somebody in prison alright.
Worked for a while....hard to keep up the lifestyle tho!
Daddy will think he’s important and rich enough to try to pull off an “El Chapo” escape...
Looks like he affluenzed his way to a place where that tends to be treated with el illo humor.
There is a God.
Hooray for Mexico ! This is a great story ! I wish there were many more like it.
Ya know we could make an excellent case to Mexico. WHY are you sending people over here. They will get spoiled rotten. Like this!
That stinks. Well, hopefully, since he was older when violating probation, the bail jumping (or whatever it is called there) will get him more time. And, Mom too.
Apparently these are among the “best”:

“I thought the whole point of probation is that, if you screw up, you have to do the time for what the sentence would have been.”
Indeed. And rabbeting to a foreign country should result in him having to serve the original sentence in full, AND there will most likely will be several new charges added on, like international flight to avoid probation terms.
Neither he nor his mom must rate very high on the IQ scale. If you have a lot of money it is easy to get lost.
1. Put a bunch of that money overseas not under your name. Switzerland is good as the US government is really only looking for tax cheats, drug money, terrorist, and organized crime. Actually several accounts are better in different banks.
2. Walk across the border to Mexico, thus no passport records of entry.
3. If you speak Spanish go to a remote community and live a very low profile life paying cash for a very modest place to live.
4. If you do not speak Spanish go to a community which has many retired Americans and change your looks. You will not be conspicuous there.
5. Do not even consider living in Puerto Vallarta or other communities like that.
6. Another option is fly to Venezuela from Mexico, take a bus to Cucuta on the Colombian border. Cross over and then take buses (no airplanes unless you can still bribe the oficina DAS there) to where you want to go. A bribe here a bribe there makes things work, but you must speak Spanish. There are many beautiful places you can live in Columbia. In fact Bogata is an international city and you would not stand out even if you do not speak Spanish. Never never use a credit card you should not even have a credit card, if you do you deserve to be caught.
7. Never call home, never use the Internet, never mail a letter unless it is to a "trusted friend" and if you trust him you are a fool. Your former life no longer exists, you must build a new one, anything you do that will connect you to your former life is an error. It can get you caught.
8. Move rather frequently, learn the local language, blend in.
9. Once you have blended in bring small amounts of your international funds into a local bank in small transactions over the months and years.
9. Be prepared to leave on a minutes notice with cash you have in hand.
10. Never ever forget your past is history and if you try to go back to it, you will be caught. Your former name never existed. You need new official identification. It can be bought. Be careful with whom you buy from. This could be most dangerous.
The mother and the judge should all be sentenced along with the little spoiled brat. I’ll always believe the family bought the judge.
Since you brought it up I’ll admit I was thinking the same think. I would not be surprised if incest is not apart of this.
I’d bet the kids mother is his barber.
One of Davis’ trials was in Amarillo and the last one was in Austin.
I knew a guy who was the son of one of the founders of Minyard (sp) Food Stores in Dallas. His career was shipping rare art. He partied at Priscilla’s a lot but he said after a while he quit going because it got too rough. He said a motorcycle gang was always there dealing drugs. He told me he believes one of the bikers did the killing.
Well. My experience with a black female supervisor. I
worked for a temp agency. Went to work on a long term
temp assignment. She flat loaded me down; which was okay.
I was being paid for working, not loafing.
Sure; I prefer being busy to idle (the time flies). The point is that they are watching a live demonstration of “white privilege” - it isn’t even concealed.
Yep.
He was sentenced to 10 years. Then given the time on probation if he followed the probation rules. Combined with flight to another country, he will most likely serve the remaining time of the 10 year sentence.
I’d be very happy to see him go to jail and the judge that let him go too.
