Huh? Not following you.
If women are taking up non combat slots in deployable military occupational specialties then they need to also be in combat , and they need to be part of the draft pool.
Period.
But taking up stateside billets so combat troops can’t catch a break between war zone deployments needs to end.
If you want to advocate rationality and remove women from those career fields altogether fine. Veterans can support that.
But keeping the same Gloria Steinem crap going on?
Hell no.
You aren’t advocating morality or military expediency. You are trying to hang on to stupid BS that you liked.
In the “all volunteer” era, they can get away with it. But not under conscription. The Vietnam War protests ended that once and for all.
My advice to you is to learn a little about the opinion of the person you are debating with before you start lobbing literary grenades at them. In my case, you are way off the mark and I find your assumptions to be grossly offensive.
I get that you’d like to stick it in the eye of the feminist movement. I would too, but women don’t belong in combat and, unless we want to mentally, emotionally and psychologically crush large numbers of young American women, my daughter included, we have no business drafting them. It’ll also likely leave large numbers of children wards of the state.
Sorry, I won’t support the draft for women. You’ll have to find some other way to get back at Gloria Steinem and her ilk.
Don’t let ANYONE draft your daughter ! Let’s not extend this stupid and un-American practice to females as well.
Military service should be 100% voluntary. A free country does not need a slave army !

Women have fought for this. Now it is at the door. Be careful what you wish for girls.
