It’s about amnesty and the US Chamber, Gowdy has been and is for amnesty. Did he actually accomplish anything with the Benghazi hearings? has hillary suffered any consequence other than inconvenience? What has Gowdy actually done that is conservative?

He’s an 80% on the Heritage scoreboard. Not great, but better than many. With better leadership (Paul/McConnell), guys like him can be persuaded to clean up their act. We’re not gonna replace every Republican who is around 80% conservative. His biggest weakness seems to be spending money, so he’s likely trading votes for pork. SOP until we fix leadership and the White House.
