Well, it could be a lot better if we reformed taxes and regulation, but middle America isn't that bad.
You could remove all taxes and regulations from manufacturing and the off shoring would continue unabated. Corps are off shoring to take advantage of cheap labor in the third world. Has nothing to do with regulations and taxes.
