Trump didn't destroy the GOP - the GOP destroyed itself. You can't function as a party if you despise your base and betray them time and time again. The GOP knows where its loyalties lie, and they are not with American citizens or the Constitution. Will and the other beltway pajama boys of the GOPe know this, but won't acknowledge the truth. So they blame Trump - it's easier than looking in the mirror.
