Leaving Obolo aside, it really is a magnificent hike. I haven't done it, but my daughter has a few times. 1,200 ft elevation gain, 1,048 steps, just about straight up...

The trail is still officially closed and it is illegal to use it. Naturally the guy who spits on the Constitution every day broke the law to hike there.
