I really hope Ted Cruz can get the nomination. Trump is saying all the right things, but Trumps top priority is Donald Trump. He is having fun with this. Ted Cruz is far more serious about the awful task that lies ahead if he is elected POTUS.
Cruz DOUBLE Rubio.
Good. The knifing worked.
Cruz's path to a general election victory is much more difficult than Trump's, IMHO...
Sure, almost every other recent poll shows Trump in the mid-30s to the low-40s, but we are supposed to believe that he only has 28% now. In three days time he is supposed to have gone from 39% in the Fox News poll (which was conducted entirely after the debate) to 28% in the Quinnipiac, even though nothing has happened in the meanwhile. This is the same poll that showed Trump and Carson essentially tied two months ago. I didn’t think that was realistic then either.
Cruz is my first choice absolutely but that does not mean I t rule out this as being pushed by the MSM... Everybody on the MSM seems thrilled about it. Fox considers it the only poll out there
I predicted that the pollsters would take matters into their own hands, I absolutely did, next time it will be Ted they go after, once they are finished with Trump (they hope) they are coming after Cruz
The BIG LIE in this poll is that 50% of Republicans would be embarrassed by a President Trump... that is a lie from the pit of hell, more like 35 % max
And this horse crap that Slutty Hillary beats Trump by 7, another lie from the pit of hell
They’re still trying to move heaven and earth to find competition for Trump. Ain’t happening.
"period, end of story"
Cruz for contitutional advice and federal prosecutions in whatever post is best suited.
It’s a nice poll...and I am certain Ted is gaining.
But I tend to throw out the outliers. A couple of polls have Trump at 40 or 41. A couple have him in the high 20’s.
So he’s probably in the mid 30’s. And Cruz is probably in the low 20’s, with a bullet.
My guess is there’s a 12 to 15 point spread right now. Not bad considering Trump’s YUUUGE edge in free media and the fact that Cruz started from about 2 or 3 percent.
With Ted steadily gaining and lots of money he’s ready to strategically deploy, I love where he’s sitting. I saw an article recently describing in depth how his team’s organization is using psychographic profiles to an unprecedented extent and his campaign execution has been nearly flawless.
If he wins Iowa the whole game changes.
Hank
Nothing is going to change. You heard it here first. Trump CAN change things (not sure that he would but he’s really the only one who is different and will do things differently). If anyone other than Trump gets elected I’m on record as saying nothing will change. If Trump gets elected he has the capacity to change things but even that is no guarantee. The situation is bad
Not buying it. Compare the attendance at their respective rallies.
Cruz is the real deal. He can get votes needed to defeat hitlery.
A ginned up poll to show Cruz close to Trump nationally. Don’t believe any of it... it’s just an attempt to change the narrative going into the new year. More polls will be out soon to show Trump still far ahead.
Bush is staying in...If the numbers stay as they are, all Bush needs is 30% to win...Trump or Cruz is going to have to drop out...
GO TED!!!!! America needs the best, and that is YOU, Ted!
Pols as news....is just stupid.
I have been taking the top four polls each week and averaging them. Here are this week's polls:
And here is what the trend lines look like by candidate over the entire time:
Those number speak for themselves.
I then compare my averages and trend lines to Real Clear Politics who also does averaging of the major polls...but they use more. Here's how their numbers look:
Tracking very close.
Trump continues to rise...but Cruz is rising too. In my averages, the two of them now have just under 51% of the polling. Real Clear Politics has them even higher at 51.6%.
Carson has dropped off to 9%, Rubio is around 10%. This means the top four are polling 70% of the polling data now.
Everyone else is polling at 4.5% or less.
Right now it is a two man horse race, with Trump well out in front, but Cruz continuing to rise.
IMHO, they should only allow the top four on the main stage in the future debates.
CRUZmentum!!! up Up UP UP!!!!
Reuters has Trump 36.7%, Cruz 11%, so much for that gain.
