“My guess is that she is a muzzy, but the media will not report that if they can possibly avoid it.”

I only wrote articles for the Homes section of my local paper. Dealing with the editor was like dealing with somebody who lived in a different world. Among other liberalisms she edited my articles for political correctness and her view of what that was changed wildly from article to article. In one article I was supposed to highlight a particular industry and she edited out some of the essential and quite interesting facts about how much that industry brought to the local economy. When I asked why she made a motion as if brushing flies away from her face and said, “Oh, it was just WAY too pro-business.”

My point is that the media live in a world apart from the real one and they can get very upset when things happen that don’t slot neatly into their canted world view. When that happens they simply change the facts to suit.

Most of the top people in the news media belong to the secretive Society of Professional Journalists — which is more or less an anti-American cult. The website makes it look like a regular trade association. But my understanding is that the insiders trade information via e-newsletters available only to members and conferences that the public can’t attend.
