I think Trey Gowdy will be picked up for job under Trump, and emerge as AG after Cruz leaves for the Supreme Court. I could even see Trump appointing Gowdy as a Supreme Court judge as well. Imagine both Cruz and Gowdy on the court.
Two good solid conservative appointments on the USSC will after a certain interval yield one or fewer conservative Justices.
