Day late and trillions of dollars short. The damage is done. Why can’t everyone wake up and see that elections don’t matter anymore? It doesn’t matter what letter is behind their name, they’re all thieves and sell outs!
Voting. Parties. None of that matters. We have to take our country back, and we’re not willing.
Well, it’s a lot easier to imagine a major GOP housecleaning, but the maids are out to lunch permanently.
At least within the two party (uniparty) system, you are correct. We spend all of our efforts trying to make the GOP stand up and do the right thing. It is always a battle to try and get them to represent us and it is an incrementally losing battle. The only alternative I see within the system is for Conseratives to leave the GOP and form a new party with all the "You are handing the election to the Democrats" flack. The present system is slow and accelerating death. Another alternative is, of course, is to storm the Bastille and take the consequences, but the drugged and pacified population doesn't seem capable of that form of mass action.
