Non sequiters abound with you! Where did I say such things? No, in fact I gave personal testimony to the opposite. I personally took comparative religions in high school, and then, in college, and delving deeper, in islam, itself. But I never encountered a teacher or professor who assigned me to have to give an assent, in writing or in speech, to the profession of another faith. That is the object of the assignment presented in the article.
For those who can’t distinguish between teaching about other faiths, and seeming to coerce students to make professions of faith in various different religions, there is always shoveling pig poop.
Let's cut right to the chase. You all are advocating censorship, pure and simple. Whether you realize it or not, that is what it is. I on the other hand advocate for knowledge to fight ignorance and that is the only way to fight it.
Further I really have to question the faith of someone that is so afraid of knowledge. Does this mother believe that her child's faith is so weak that she will be converted to islam over an artistic interpretation.
