If a presidential debate is held and nobody watches, does it really happen?
While viewers are expected to watch the third Democratic debate on Saturday night, they are unlikely to be doing so in the droves that tuned into the Republican debates or the Democratic face-off that was held on a weeknight. While some of that interest on the Republican side can be attributed to the Donald J. Trump effect, critics of the Democratic National Committee's scheduling process are also upset that the party is muting its message by holding debates when people are less likely to tune in.

Going through the motions - the DNC has locked on the HRC as THE CANDIDATE and it is going to take an indictment from Obama’s Justice Dept. (yeah, right!) to have that changed!
John Edwards’ campaign was kept scandal free in the media to put Hillary in an unwinable three-way race for delegates. Obama was already chosen.
The dems are so terrified that Hillary will blow a debate against the other two dullards, that they impose restrictions on what the other two dullards can say, and can’t say, and arrange for the “debates” to be held on weekends so that few people actually watch. They also restrict her press availability. Like Trump says, she’s a low energy candidate who has to take time off after one or two small crowd events.
Our best hope is that Bernie runs 3rd party and takes his kooky supporters away from she who's name must not be mentioned.
Didn’t Communist Party USA throw their support to Obama rather than run their own candidate?
Why isn’t the RNC running ads like crazy around this? If I was the RNC I would be running this ad along with an ad that it is 3am and show Hillary sleeping next to a bottle of Nyquil.

No one will be watching!!! An insult to the American people!! GO DONALD TRUMP!!!
Making an assumption that the fat, smelly criminal will not be elected, the DIMs are doing society a favor by limiting this oaf’s exposure.
Why waste a good Sat night watching a filthy ratfest?
Now a Sat nite Trump rally would be tons of fun. He should have more Diamond and Silk guest appearances for entertainment.
Saturday night. People shopping or going to the biggest movie in ages. NFL and minor bowls being played. Christmas specials etc.
Don’t they get it.
Hillary has to be kept under wraps and buried on the weekends while the Republicans have to be rolled out in midweek ‘cage match’ events to tear each other to shreds.
The media and the DNC are doing a great job of helping the anointed candidate.
When my first and only attempt to watch a Democrat debate almost resulted in my having to purchase a new TV, I decided for the sake of my health and furniture, I won’t watch anymore.
However, the DNC has increasingly demonstrated that, despite its name, it is wary of the democratic processes. Their super delegates, over 800 of them, are almost 20% of the total.
The Democrat leadership has collectively decided it is Hllary’s turn, she is the inevitable candidate to succeed Obama and that their electorate should shut up, and vote for her like they have been told.
The debate schedule indicates just how much legitimate challengers to Hillary are unwelcome, it is her turn, and voices to the contrary are prohibited. The de facto exile of Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is exhibit A, she dared to question the DNC and is now persona non grata.
While the GOP has more than its share of problems, their super delegates are only RNC members and the leaders of each state, territorial and DC party for about 165 votes, a much smaller proportion. The GOP presented us with 17 different candidates, with even the worst of them, a marked improvement over Obama.
Their debate process was and is reasonably open, and despite early concerns, was not engineered to coronate Jeb, who flounders in the basement at less than 10%.
The GOP race is effectively down to Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Carson with Christie as a (very, very) long shot. The rest are dead men (or woman) walking. Demonstrating that the GOP, however reluctantly, is listening to their electorate, as none of the top four were considered likely contenders a year ago.
I have no pity for them at all. They refuse to challenge Clinton on her handling of Benghazi, sensitive information, email servers, the WH travel office, White Water, cattle futures, etc, etc, etc.
They are not serious candidates. Since they soft-pedal around her, they are providing defacto acceptance of her coronation.
LOL. It’s not worth a TV.
Especially since we dropped $1600 cash on this one, or more accurately my wife informed me that she had dropped $1600 cash on this one. As I don’t like sleeping on the couch, and to be honest, football looks beautiful on it, I acquiesced.
“Martin O’Malley and Bernie Sanders Bristle”
They bristle one day before the debate. Why didn’t they start bristling when the debate schedule was announced? I refuse to believe they’re that stupid. Could it be that they really don’t care?
I’m surprised the New York Times even bothered to cover this... they usually sit on things that might make democrats look bad.
Because they’re dishonest at the core of their being - more Proof:
