It doesn’t appear that there is anything to be gained by continuing to screw around in Libya.
If you were the SF commander tasked with this mission, what would you do when confronted by a local Libyan militia knowing that your National Security team in the White Hut is spring loaded to leave you hanging like Custer and blame the whole thing on another video? I would turn around and go home, too.
