Dixie is a word used to describe the Southern states. Not segregation. What will be next? South First Street, Magnolia Blvd, Davis Street, Jefferson Circle? Will you people ever be happy? Can’t you find anything important to do with your lives? Must you get up every morning thinking you have to find something that hurts your feelings? Do you know how sick we are of you people. If you think it makes sense to change Dixie (My mother’s name by the way) to Obama (the architect of today’s racial problems)go for it. Silly is as silly does.

You know, that gives me an idea. From here on out, I’m going to name everything I own which requires a name, either “Dixie” or “General Lee”. Every last thing which requires a name or title, and maybe some which don’t. I already have the flag on my license plate (state flag, MS, and Confederate flag, SoCV plate), and I’m going to find a way to incorporate Dixie and the Old South into everything I can.

Dixie is a mangling of the French word dix, meaning ten and referring to the 10 southern states. The Land of Dixie is nothing more than the land of the ten southern states, rather like New England.
