Am I being paranoid thinking that there will be a mass casualty incident in one or more of those theaters? Soft targets and such.

They had security tighter than you’d believe for this event. There were no incidents for the premiere. What might happen with the opening night on Friday...we’ll have to wait and see.
If someone does try something, it might be the catalyst that pisses off enough people to do something.

You're not alone. I heard two guys at the bookstore (in the toys and games section, which was piled high with Star Wars merchandise) mention that concern.
I'll see it on the big screen, but I'm going to wait for the mania to burn itself out a bit.
I seldom go to a theater any more, for a variety of reasons.
When I do, I am armed.
Some theaters forbid carrying weapons in them.
“Concealed” means nobody knows you have it. (Except Mrs. Mountain. I make sure she knows, so we both execute the same plan.)
