It is called entertainment. People without a stick up their ass usually enjoy entertainment sometimes.Stick up his ass???

You know what they say about a person like you and your assumptions.
Perhaps you need a timeout.

I havenât watched tv in a long time. My first and only tv show since the X-Files in the Walking dead. If there must be only one, that is an excellent choice.
Try watching re-runs of Homeland if you can find any.

The woman is severely bi-polar is on meds and needs a service dog 24hrs to cope. Add to the obvious botox and surgery she has electro shock treatments to her brain. That has to affect facial nerves. She inherited some bad genetics and recreational drugs didn’t help. I dont know how Abrams got coherent dialog out of her. Must have taken quite awhile.

For a group of people who despise the political views of the actors in this movie, I find it interesting so many are so nuts over it.
My wife and I rarely go to movies now because it funds these sickos. If we catch something, it’s Redbox or online, because we have to starve the beast.
We are not expecting to catch this in the theater. I would have considered catching The Martian, but we can’t stand supporting Matt Damon.
My guess is that many FReepers love giving liberals the very power they disdain.

The adolescent retardation of this interest by our population is vacuous. We need to slap these people into reality like the movie Airplane where the passengers slap the hysterical woman to her senses. I donât give a crap about this movie. ZERO interest.
Complains about vacuity. References Airplane.

The last time I looked at an attack like "If this doesn't wake people up about terrorism, nothing will" was Peshawar.
Eventually that, too, will happen in a school here, as will a sarin gas attack in one of our subways.
Liberal will pretend to care for a week or so, and the world will move on.

Great point. I will follow your advice and eschew adolescent entertainment in favor of sober, mature films like Airplane!.

The first film came out in 1977. Carter was the pRESIDENT. Iran, Gas shortage, National Lampoon cost a DOLLAR! Real life sucked. What we needed was a good fantasy! Lucas struck while the iron was hot. Hit pay dirt. After that, just like crack, he tried to get the same high as the first time. Never the same. Nothing in life is. Just enjoy the film for what it is. Pure fantasy!

If it was intentional, nice trolling!
If it wasn’t intentional, the irony is strong in this one.
