I would support the Republican nominee also because of the alternative.
I hope it’s Cruz or Trump.
I learned my lesson on another thread. Do not even hint that Trump might have said something dumb or wrong...you WILL BE verbally abused.

You'll also get your head lopped off on other threads if you play around a bit with his name. I was chided for referring to Trump supporters as "Trumpets". So, my latest version is referring to him as "tRump". Nothing mean, just being a bit playful.
