Thank you. I served in Vietnam and know a little about war and what can happen. In fact, served to two tours and understand a little about what people who hate us want to do to us. I respect anyone who served the country and do not appreciate people mocking people who served. But, you have the freedom to speak your mind because those people fought for your freedoms.
Big of you...I, too, served...
But flying a desk as a military lawyer isn’t the same thing, no matter how you cut it...
Nice try....
I THANK YOU for your Service, I lived and lost friends during that terrible war...and I’m sure you have more knowledge of war than most posters here...
I respect ALL who serve this Country.
Good grief. FOA.
There are few places on the internet where you’ll find more genuine respect, gratitude and affection for our citizens who volunteer to wear the uniform than Free Republic.
Senator Graham has CHOSEN to put himself front and center in a contentious presidential primary season. I happen to disagree with his views on how to run our foreign policy. I know he’s been “over there” dozens of times. So have people like my son and thousands of others. If they all came back with hare-brained schemes to play fast and loose with the enemy, like your misguided friend, you’d hear us hollering at them too.
To respect Graham’s service does not mean I must respect his ideas, his politics or his uncontrollable hysteria. That’s not passion FRiend, that’s mental stress showing itself ugly.
