I’ve noticed that Linda keeps throwing out what he thinks are zinger applause lines, then pauses for the reaction.

Which in almost all cases is crickets from the audience

I think Linda has cue cards and that the audience is prepped (plants) on when to laugh at his ‘zingers’.
