With all due respect, Mr. Cruz, and I do mean that sincerely, our enemy is NOT radical islam. Our enemy is islam. islam is the root from which the evil we face springs. As long as islam spreads, evil and terror will spread with it. It is that simple, sir. islam itself, by its very nature is radical. to say radical islam is redundant, and it further implies that there is some other form of islam that is not radical, and that gives islam the cover it needs to spread. If we do not have the courage to accurately name our enemy, then we already lost. Same goes for you, Carson. Stop.

Well said. Absolutely true. Which means eventually it will be accepted. The problem is reducing the horror that has to be endured becfore it is fully accepted as self-evident. And that means speaking this truth over and over.

Truth matters. We must be honest with ourselves. Misnaming our enemy because it makes us feel better or makes them feel better is a mistake.

If I may address Mr. Rubio as well. Mr. Rubio, the reason that our government didn’t know about the San Bernardino attack in advance IS BECAUSE IT DID NOT WANT TO.

It does not matter what tools the government has, because the government doesn’t want to use them.

Our government cares more about PR for islam than it cares for the lives of its own citizens, for whom it does not care at all.
