He reported some of the facts. He forgot to mention that Trump was responding to Cruz's disparaging remarks made in a secret meeting with some of Cruz;'s big donors. Trump was responding to things said three or four days earlier.
But he added, Quote You look at Paris, you look at San Bernardino, its given a seriousness to this race, that people are looking for: Who is prepared to be a commander in chief? Who understands the threats we face?Unquote
He went on: Quote Who am I comfortable having their finger on the button? Now thats a question of strength, but its also a question of judgment. And I think that is a question that is a challenging question for both of them.Unquote
Ted Cruz Questions Donald Trumps Judgment to Be President
The old, can you trust this nut with his finger on the nuclear button slur.
Brings back memories of the Daisy commercial from 1964:
Ted borrowing from LBJ and a long string of leftists. And Rush did a very poor job of putting the story in context. The same for Hannity and Levin.
That a very old leftist slur Dims have used against Republicans at least since LBJ used it against Goldwater.
Humphrey and McGovern both used it against Nixon.
Carter and Dims used it against Reagan.
Now Cruz used it against Trump.
A common leftist slur to accuse a Republican candidate of being a nut that can't trusted with the nuclear button.
