A pastor is facing a court trial this week on a government charge that his message, delivered through a public electronic communications because it was online, was grossly offensive to the point of being criminal. The decision that results from the case, which is based on the pastor’s description of Islam as a “doctrine spawned in hell,†could determine whether Christian pastors will be allowed to preach biblical doctrine in the United Kingdom going forward. U.TV in the United Kingdom reports that Pastor James McConnell, 78, of Shore Road, Newtownabbey, is facing a three-day trial for charges stemming from alleged violations of the 2003 Communications Act.
There are two charges pending, the improper use of a public electronic communications network and causing a “grossly offensive message†to be distributed, the report said. His sermon, delivered from the pulpit of Whitewell Metropolitan Chapel of north Belfast, will be the subject of the Belfast Magistrates Court case. The Daily Mail reported some weeks ago that hundreds turned out in support of McConnell, when the pastor made an initial court appearances. “I believe, for the prosecution, this is a hot potato,†the Mail reported he said at the time. “They don’t know how to handle it.†He said he was “looking forward to testifying if they give me a chance. Either they try me and put me in prison or I am free to preach the gospel...â€

I agree. It’s obvious, but denied, that the actions of their ‘leader’ affect the actions of his followers.
When I watch the prophecy shows on Christian TV, I envision big screen monsters and utter helplessness on our part.
However, I think of the Tribulation a bit differently.
I believe that Our Lord has been preparing us for the long haul over the last 40 years precisely to ready us for the big fight.
We will be ready for the fight and He will decisively win and it will be quick.
He said that he would return as a thief in the night and he wants us to have our oil lamps full (meaning filled with His grace) so that we will share in the fight and in His victory.
I know that is not part of the general narrative we hear from the preachers, but it is the one that makes the most sense to me.
I will be ready for whatever happens - and I am not buying gold, guns or dehydrated food.
Islam is not a religion, and it needs to be outlawed as incompatible to the Constitutional rule of law.

Well, it is! He’s not the only preacher saying this in the pulpit.
According to Daniel 9, it is the 7 year agreement between Israel and the Anti-Christ that starts the Biblical Timeclock (or Tribulation Period). In the middle of the 7 year agreement, the Anti-Christ enters the Temple and proclaims himself as God. I would argue that a 7 year treaty has not been signed with Israel yet...
Always remember the Antichrist comes first, before the Second Coming. This is why the Apostle Paul said, let NO MAN deceive you. I have seen many churches try to twist other Scriptures.

Agreed. Those events have not happened yet.
He confirms the covenant. Maybe his power is that of giving it a final stamp. Hard to say.
But I generally agree with that. That 7-year period which is generically known as the Tribulation, and which is broken in half, starting the 3 and 1/2 year Great Tribulation, has not started ....... yet.
But they are definitely coming.

Now a 7 year agreement does not have to be a great big production like Carter and Clinton displayed and then again it might be.
Whatever it is will have significant points that do not necessarily have to be advertised.
It can be rather something like the guy making an oath confirming support of the same blessing conferred on the nation of Israel.
The book of Rev. is symbolical and is best understood in that way. A symbol representing a larger idea.
To know the idea behind the symbol removes the mystery and affords a more detailed view as things take place.
