Trump: Let’s face it, Cruz is a “little bit of a maniac” in the Senate with poor judgment

Trump has NO history of getting anything done with Congress.

Neither does Cruz.

I really think there is a bit of schizophrenia involved in some Trump supporters. They say they are opposed to the "establishment" at least in part because they promise to support conservative principles while they are running for office, then when elected, they go along with the crowd.

Then they turn around and criticize Cruz because once he was elected, he actually refused to become part of the establishment and stood by his campaign promises, which has resulted in him being unpopular with the establishment they claim to hate and didn't get anything accomplished!

And finally, they use the few times he DID try to work within the system to change or influence bad legislation for the better, they call him a sell-out and part of the "establishment"!

Yeah....well I think I'll trust the judgement of the guy who doesn't have a history of funding and supporting democrats on this one.

So you are calling Rush Limbaugh a liar now ?

So now Trump supporters trow Rush under the bus now since Rush is being critical of Trump.

Trump is no conservative, nor is many of his supporters conservative.

A couple of weeks ago, they had Rush practically endorsing him. Guess that is off the table now.

I watched the interview and Trump made a couple of half hearted pokes at Cruz. Nothing to get anybody’s panties in a twist about.

Thou shalt not speak ill of The Donald. I knew this was coming as soon as I heard Rush open his show today.

Argumentation is pretty much pointless. I*m going to enjoy watching this play out. Looking forward to the debate tomorrow.

While on first blush I might be sympathetic with your argument here, here's reality or the closest thing to it right now.

Please check out who the self-proclaimed Very Conservative and Somewhat Conservative people voted for in this poll.

It's on page two in a box with vote breakdown.

This is going to be a rude awakening for those who think only moderate Republicans support Trump.

Trump: 41 - 45

Cruz: 26 - 8

Rush is creaming Trump over this, plus the criticism of Scalia, and support of ethanol.

CEW ping. As you predicted .....

None of this makes any sense to a lot of people, and it is going to cost Trump at least a little bit. A lot depends on talk radio the next couple of days and the Tuesday debate. (snip)

There was very little appetite for these flags at the time. Which brings us back around to this past weekend. The man who has been the undeniable champion leading the charge against Washington for six months just went Washingtonian against the man who has been the champion of that battle for four years. And he slammed him for just that fight.

The man who has been fearless and blunt about everything went into full pander mode defending the corrupt crony ethanol complex. The man who has stared political correctness in the eye and laughed at it just waded hip deep in PC attacking one of the two conservative heroes on the Supreme Court. The man who has owned the media just got bamboozled by Jake Tapper.

May be Trumps “Jump The Shark” moment, attacking anti-establishment conservative Cruz and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.

If you call ignoring Sen Sessions warning on TPA, no strike that, flat out saying Sen Sessions is wrong and then working hard to pass TPA "working within the system". Then ya, I say that is bad legislation and call Cruz a sell out. Don't even get me started on the corker bill.

Thankfully Rush is appropriately disgusted by Trump’s trashing of Scalia.

Trump responding to the leaked Cruz audio. The actual interview he did it with kid gloves. Here, it becomes DefCon 1.

He sure does have a history of getting things done, 2 times divorced, 3 times married, owns strip clubs, Casinos, giving money to the Clintons, so in that regard your absolutely correct, no doubting you there.
