Last week, Republican consultant and CBS News contributor Frank Luntz gathered 29 past and present Donald Trump supporters in Virginia to get their thoughts on the Republican front-runner -- including his controversial comments on Muslims.

Beware the next generations - of both of them. That's the problem with Dynasties.
Absolutely!
Those voters in the video were very specific and very determined!
They voiced my opinions as well.
They GET Trump.....
Quoting you, “No one in my world likes Trump. I only know Trump supporters from afar. Most of the people I know in real life hate him.”
You must never leave the house! I run into people who love Trump every where I go. When I bring up Cruz they are like.. “Who..???” Convenient for you to forget that Cruz co-wrote the TPA (and voted for it) which made the TPP inevitable. Are you up on current events?
I am sure I see people who like Trump — but from afar. No one in my circle of family and friends like him. I can speak to that better than you can.
To quote you again: “I am sure I see people who like Trump â but from afar. No one in my circle of family and friends like him. I can speak to that better than you can.”
So what about TPA / TPP? Cruz is in the pocket of big donors like a previous freeper said. Typical GOP scam... get the rubes to vote for you by giving red meat on social issues that will never get voted on while selling your soul to Wall Street, the Arab oil-lobby, big pharma, interantional banker, and global corporatists... Trump is the only free man running for president. Get new friends...
Are you saying only billionaires are fit for office? I think the founding fathers would cringe at that idea. People giving to the candidate they agree with is part of their participation. Would you prefer our tax dollars support campaigns like the Democrats want, or you just want to limit high office to billionaires who will fund their own campaigns?
I would rather have a candidate beholden to at least some of the people than one who is only out for himself. Corruption is not avoided just because you are only about yourself, your own power and money as well as that of your friends. In the end it is like the issue with guns. In the hands of a murderer, guns kills. In the hands of a corrupt politician, money buys influence. That is why we used to closely examine the candidates character and integrity. What happened to that?
Exactly! Trump’s greatest appeal is that he is NOT a “politician,” with all of the loathsome attributes that word conjures up. His refusal to engage in the typical calculated, dishonest, word-parsing, politically correct rhetoric of the ruling elite in this country is (IMHO) his greatest asset. He’s not the typical agenda-driven ideologue. There isn’t one other candidate in this race (with the possible exception of Ben Carson) who doesn’t have a personal agenda based on race, religion, gender, or radical political philosophy that they are pursuing, but attempting to keep hidden. If elected, Trump will be the first President since Ronald Reagan that we won’t need political analysts on CNN or FOX news telling us what he REALLY said in his last speech. Won’t that be refreshing?
“Yes, and thatâs why Iâm voting for Cruz. Trumpâs words against Cruz are unforgivable.”
If Trump wronged Cruz, only Cruz can forgive.
I’m happy with either man individually and happier with both on the same ticket.
LMAO....if I had a dollar for every time I heard that I would be able to buy my own jet and fly to all of his speeches in person....
Getting a little old....we have seen this with the polls, with the other candidates...Trump is going to the Oval Office and that is why people are so afraid of him, on a lot of levels but the main one is, they are going to have to start working for their money instead of having to sit around and play with it...
And heaven forbid if the majority of the ‘republicans’ get voted out this election, they deserve to be, they haven't done anything for us, they have done it for obuma and for themselves....
#1 Cruz started it.
#2 I think that it’s slimy that he’s only stayed out of the public fight with Trump as a political ploy.
“Big warm hug...” *GAG!*
I’m voting for a man who speaks his mind, not another slime ball politician. I’ve had ENOUGH of slime and political maneuvering.
If Cruz doesn’t think that Trump has the judgement to be president, then he should be MAN enough to say it on the public stage and back it up with facts. As far as I’m concerned, Cruz just proved himself another cucked Pubby without the stones to lead a Girl Scout troop, let alone a nation.
This was the most important video focus group Frank Luntz ever polled on the Republican side.
It was AWESOME.
There is no other candidate for president.
There is no other candidate that can beat Hillary.
I’m all in and going *wherever* with Donald. I don’t care whose beak sticks up in song, I’m with I’m with Donald.
Be long. Be gone. This is war.
You’re guy should have been cooler, behind closed doors. That’s what donors get you. (trouble & agendas)
Freak much?
Thankfully, few are in... “your world”.
How odd. EVERYONE in my world loves Trump.
Let’s see who’s in my world... soldiers, truckers, welders, tower climbers, small business owners, homemakers, legal Mexican immigrants...
Guess my world is much lower-brow than yours. (although most of the people in my world do have college degrees.)
Exactly.
Cruz just outed himself as nothing more than another lying, pandering slime-ball politician. He’ll give US a ‘nice warm hug’ then stab us in the back the moment he gets into a power position.
I actually feel very sorry for Cruz supporters. If he actually wins through his back room deals, his very big money donors and all of the bought “conservative” blogs saying he walks on water, the country is gone.
They think he actually will fix this country, build a wall, stop illegals and deport them, and restore this country to a constitutional footing.
All of the above are either not in his power and/or not in his plans.
You said it.
If Trump does just 10% of what he’s suggested, he’ll have accomplished more than 100% of the Tea Party Republicans that we’ve managed to elect in the last 7 years.
So true. :)
Listen to what Cruz really said.
Trump is a bully and sooner or later he will bully his “conservative” supporters, too. You will all deserve it. Unfortunately, the rest of us won’t.
