I have little difficulty buying non-GMO corn locally.
True that it is wide spread though.
The “GMO” corn is GMOed so it will grow in the desert and resist blight and pestilence.
I’m sure most sweet-corn varieties are also “genetically modified” just like most vegetables, dogs, cats, horses and meat animals. (Hereford, Angus, Yorkshire, Hampshire etc)
Naturally occurring “wild corn” isn’t much of a prize.
