That is already law in most states, certainly in Louisiana. You can now unwind your panties.

And yes, I am A-OK with cop-killers getting the death penalty. As I think that punishment should be meted out to all murder. That was the first law God gave to Noah after he climbed out of the ark.

That a president can issue an executive order just like a king or emperor and have a cop-killer executed, which a state and local function, unless a federal crime has been committed? Nonsense!

And yes, I am A-OK with cop-killers getting the death penalty.

That's not the issue. The issue is Trump's authoritarian streak and his ignorance of the Constitution.

But, hey, his rabid supporters apparently do not care about those things.

I think the concern is the idea that Trump thinks he could issue an executive order to the states requiring them to impose the death penalty in such cases. (And there are about a dozen states where there is no death penalty at all.) We have one president trying to bypass the Constitution via executive order already - we don't need another one.
