I think, it goes without saying, that the Gope is a bunch of whiners and cavers when it comes to critical issues before Congress.
So why are we so panicked when they are huffing and puffing about a brokered convention when they will cave to the obvious front runner to avoid, themselves, being the third party and irrelevant?

Because there are indications they’re actually willing to split the vote for a guaranteed _loss_, more interested in keeping their power structure intact (if damaged) than adapting to what it takes to win. Seems some GOPe would rather have Hillary win so they can maintain their symbiotic relationship; a Trump win could very well lose many of them jobs & power.
